2013 Mercedes Vito - Heater Motor replacement

Hi,

Is there a way to replace the heater motor on a 2013 Vito without either cutting out the grid underneath the Tray on top of the dashboard or removing the dashboard itself?

Can't remember it being that difficult tbh. I thought that once the top tray was removed it was accessible.
