2013 W204 C350 CDI Swirl flap motor / delete

Then be very careful as to who's advice you follow. There's advice being doled out from someone who thinks you can hand crank a diesel engine by rotating the road wheels and expects that to be sufficient to raise oil pressure...
Black C55 is giving you good advice - stick with him.
I'm so glad he didn't follow my advice on that horseplay windup , he may of turned the road wheels the wrong direction and sucked all of the engine oil out , my mistake Karen, sorry 😞. On the Plus side ,had it happened,he'd of saved £13 Messing about with a Lidl oil extractor.

Well given the age of the car in question I would fit the cheat mod, most drivers will not even notice any difference, taking a look at the cost it is a no brainer,50P against at least £500 maybe more.

Op, if the motor is ok and the plastic arms are broken ,that work the swirl flaps, this is an aluminium repair kit , you can have fitted , if the flaps will move. Mb will only sell you a complete manifold ,which iirc are over a grand .

FYI, the European 3.0 Sprinter doesn’t even have swirl flaps, so as long as they are open, they’re not imperative to the engine running okay.
If that is even true, then other measures are there to ensure adequate swirl. Most likely undersized ports or masked valves. Diesels need air motion - end of.

And back the following week asking why their DPF keeps getting choked.
