2014 S212 Auto Load Cover

My auto load cover does not work, on looking at it I can see that on the retractable plastic pins that slot into the rails each side there is no magnet or metal end piece.

Should the left (passenger side) have a magnet or steel end piece in it to trigger the micro switch ?

One side should have a magnet, not both. I'm pretty sure it is the passenger side with one. Certainly that is the side you adjust if it only works intermittently.
