I recently fitted a towbar to my 210 e class using a Jaeger kit, and everything works fine except bulb failure detection. Is this something that I need to get coded using STAR?
It would be good to know that the car was aware of the trailer for ESP purposes as well. There is a wire that connects to pin 15 on the rear SAM unit (grounds when trailer plugged in), should this also be telling the car to monitor trailer bulbs?
Any advice appreciated.
