She turned over 270,000 miles this morning at 70 mph again. see previous posts too.:bannana:

Its alright for some, mine is just coming up to 26k miles and sits in the garage looking all sad

P.S Well done, my mileage is just going up to 2.5K a month, would take a few years to get that high though.

Funny the big mileage milestones always occur when one's doing 70... Mine turned 100000 in exactly the same way!

Your posts certainly show just how well a 300TD lasts.

Reliability is the single biggest reason I've kept my car so long. A 320 Cdi just isn't going to be as good for as long.

I intend to keep her going, as you say just so reliable even the aircon is on its original fill never been regassed and still works!!

I do a Mobil 1 oil + filter change and air filter every 10k(actual), gearbox oil every 30-40k, diff the same.

When looked after i think the miles keeps them working well, i do 800 mile a week and if the car was doing 50 miles a week i think it would be a different story.

I keep wanting to change but then wonder why pay £20+K for what is really just the new model and possibly not as reliable.

MB sorted out the rust 3 years ago and i did the waxoyling at the same time and realy went to town on it.
