230K Sport Coupe

Hi

New to Mrecedes and this site so I apologise in advance if I make a mistake!

Just bought a 2002 230K Sport Coupe Evo-Panarama. Very pleased with the car although the suspension seems overly hard on pot holes etc.

I have seen newer models with nicer looking tail light clusters and a perforated front grille.

Does antone knoe if these can be retrofitted and if so are they a MB only part.

If there are any Northern Ireland members out there, do you know any good Merc garages?

Hi,

Good choice of car !!

Yeah, grill is a bit of a fiddle but not too bad, Front and rear lights are a straight swap.

I ordered a Sprintbooster on Friday after reading the reports on this site.

Do you know if the grille and rear lights are MB only or are they available as pattern parts. Tried CKS but no luck!

You'll love the Sprintbooster!
Best mod for the money !

The facelift lights and honeycombe grill are all MB parts only

Rear lights - 98 quid + VAT each
Front clear lights - 180 + VAT each
Grill - Don't know

These are the aproximate new prices from MB.

It does add up to quite a bit, but park a standard one next to it and you'll see it's well worth it.

I was able to locate the grille part no. and print out the fitting instuctions.
Will order one on next week.
Do you know where I could find the part nos. for the rear light clusters?

No problem at all. I've had loads of help on here - am just passing it on.

facelift rear light cluter (passenger side) is part No. A203 820 10 77

I presume drivers side will end in 76 or 78

No probs, sorry about the highlighted bits, just the way I searched it out and it red'ed the words "coupe" & "grille". If it is the Evo/Panorama you will have sports suspension. The Evo bit was a packaged otion which included, amongst other things, sports suspension.

Scottinbelfast, there's a place in Derriaghy called Murray Motors which some people have recommended. I think a lot of taxi drivers use them. I use a guy in Portadown who works from home in the evenings and in the dealership by day. PM me if you need the contact details though I'm guessing you are in Belfast yourself!
