255/30 winter tyres

I have a C63 AMG 507 Edition with 19 inch wheels which takes the 255/30 tyres on the rear (235/35 on the front). The winter tyres that I want do not come in the size 255/30, but I can get them in size 255/35. So I would have the 235/35 on the front, but the slightly higher 255/35 on the rear. Anyone know the impact of having slightly higher tyres on the rear than what is called for in the car specs?

Your better with thinner tyres in winter, 245/35 would be a better match with your fronts if available.

Wow! Cant believe the number of winter tyre threads right now. Generally, running 265 on rear for better rim protection, decided to stick with same sizes and profiles for winter tyres and very happt with the Vreds. Reason for doing this, simply have two sets of 19" wheels, long story.

You may get problems with functions which monitor wheel speed such as ABS, cruise control and traction control, to name but a few.
