just putting some feelers out here first, my car is a 260e 1986 saloon
had a lot of work done, got it in september where it had new fuel distribution unit, since then its had some work by I.Walker, ie HT Leads,Sparks, Propshaft coupler,ATF Change etc.
has 15" alloys with 4 good tyres
removing new radio although would leave in cost 70 inc. ext connector for mp3 players
work reccomend to be done soon,
engine & brake oil change,
oil drain plug rounded,will need either drilling or bar welding on.
exhaust repaired/replace,couple of small blow holes on the down pipe, gumgumed at mo not noisy, and parking brake pads need replacement.
bad points.
someone has made attempts to repair paintwork here and there,ie small bits and used darker blue, small dent in bonnet and front wing, not very noticible. quote for paint work to be rematched was about 200, usual rust in normal places as you would expect,
also top of dash has a few cracks guessing who ever fitted alarm screwed up
passenger door lock missing, only open from inside,
scratches around the lock where someone used screwdriver to try and break in.
water pump little noisy but works fine.
speedo had 108,000 when i got it,then noticed it was broke,so i fixed it and put it to 120,000
ive done about 1000 since having the car,dont know how long it was broke but reckon this is about right ish
apart from that the car runs well and has not left me down, very reliable as all 124 of this age
MOT till end aug
taxed until end September
has private plate on which I know would go for upto 1200 in auction and prob 700 at the least.
all elecs work, has alarm & imoblisher
i would expect this car to prob fly the next mot with none or v.little work total cost of work been done since aug 2006 is over 1600 but i dont expect to make anywhere nere that back,
this is a good example of a 260 and worth some more tlc since ive been using it jan 2007 me & ian have been working on her, I have replaced all the centre console wood(org parts).
car will be going to ebay in a few weeks, if no interest or resonable offers
i have tried to be honest as poss,any questions please ask
also if want to buy please make offerslike so:
after much deliberation ive decided i really cant be bothered retaining the reg, need quick sale havent got the space, so with that in mind the least i will take is
400
or 470 with radio
