300e saloon for disposal

I'm acting on behalf of a friend who has a K Reg 300E saloon with 153k on the clock. It belonged to his mother and has been in a shed for some three years.

A brief look inside shows the material r/s of the sqab on the driver's seat is worn through to the foam. Apart from that the interior looks in reasonable condition. Bodywork seems OK.

Purpose of this message is to get some idea of what to do with it. Would it be worthwhile selling it, or disposing for spares, for example?

Location is Taunton area.

Hi Nick, Just had an update from the owner. It's actually a D Reg (1986), Automatic and Petrol. He doesn't know what the going price for this might be yet. Open to suggestions.

To be honest, for a D-reg 150k miler that has been stood for three years, it's going to be a breaker at best these days.

Stick it on eBay, pics, details etc - warts and all, you might get a couple of hundred or so?

Worth contacting Rob Parker at Three Pointed Parts 01460 54272. He breaks Mercs in your part of the world and may be interested in breaking it for parts.

As above, not tax, no ticket and being stood for so long it will be worth scrap value especially being a petrol. Anyone that pays more is a fool.

mercedes breakers probably pay more than weight price, best to break and sell parts on ebay u can make much more and help w124 owners get parts.
