51 plate E class bodywork!

So my merc which I love developed lots of rust!

The estate boot handle. Wings, doors all showed signs of Rust!

Couldn't believe the build quality!

I was told they were built in South Africa. True??

I was lucky and got it fixed under warranty and it looks great now!

Was a sjock and a tad disapointingn though!

Ive read quite a bit about the 211 rusting and from late 2003 it was meant to be hot dipped galvanised but a quick google for 211 rust reveals they are still rusting.

Wouldn't a 51-plate E Class be a W210?

Still you are right re the S211. I've read quite a few threads about the S211 too with regards to rusting - particularly the earlier cars. A big "woops" there on Mercedes part...
