Liked the Trafpol segment.

The 100mph throught the red lights very surprising/impressive. I would have presumed the risk always too high for that speed.

Most impressive was the officer talking his way through a series of bends on the track. Could really tell it was a trained driver.

The 100mph bit seemed a bit excessive as another driver might come through the green not seeing the Police car.
No chance of stopping at that speed.

When I went out with Traffic a few weeks ago I was amazed how late they leave it to brake before junctions, roundabouts etc. Those Volvo's have remarkable brakes.

The PC I was with was certainly a highly skilled driver, no question. The X-country speeds were exceptionally high, with pin point road positioning.

I also have to say it was nice to see Sarah Beeny without having to watch another repeat of Property Ladder :D

And she appeared to relish the idea of getting "On top".

They are only the standard ATE as fitted to some MBs, the BHP is around 290 BHP from the 2.3 engine if they are tuned as mine the V70R

My S60 ate it standard brakes rapidly, brembo discs sorted that out (with ferodo pads) - braking power was awesome and more progressive than the MB (which can catch you out when pressing on and the BAS thinks you want to stop...)

I have yet to see a 'tuned' Police car.

Most are a fair bit slower than standard due to the weight of kit they carry.

I have brembo brakes on my VW touareg. Incredible stopping considering the size of the vehicle. A friend has the non brembo brakes on his and they're definitely less sharp.

I went through pads and discs every 20k on the volvo, the Brembo/Ferodo combination lasted 60k. Front tyre life was atrocious but that's a product of the driving style (slow in, fast and smoky out....)

Believe it or not I had a set of continetals originally and they lasted about 11000 miles and cost about £600 for 4. My local tyre garage couldnt source tyres in time as they are an unusual size so I bought a set of toyo at £284 fitted and balanced. They were way better and lasted 21000 miles. Which for a 4X4 is pretty good.

Just had a new set of pads at 51000 miles, so not bad really.
