708bhp e55k

We know that car very well, its an amazing drive despite all the power you hardly ever see the traction light. When we converted from airmatic to coilovers it spent 2 days getting the balance right. The transmission work means the power almost snaps your neck at each change.

We have tons of photo's on the work carried out over the last 8 months if a prospective buyer wants further info.

That is an interesting real world experience of it.

I have intentions of doing this should my airmatic fail.

Is the ride a lot different from air?

What transmission work was carried out Paul? I'm really struggling with getting the power down so may need to think of a plan ;)

Torque curve and numbers on the graph standard v after conversion is immense. Look forward to reading more detail of this car & conversion later.

The way the car is setup now it's strangely feels as comfortable as airmatic. Very little body roll and when accelerating you no longer get any lift or lightness of the front end which this car really suffered from when it was only running 600bhp. The owners friend was following in his F10 M5 2013 and couldn't keep up through the turns he described it as a wasp.

Torque convertor made the biggest difference it was custom made to match the torque delivery.

In terms of traction Coilovers were fitted along with taking the wheels back down to 18" with 10" wide rears BC forged wheels. I think the rears weigh around 8kgs.

Very interesting car and project, always thought the fun of such a car is in the building so can understand his wish to move onto the next project.

Wish him well as such a car sits in a very niche market.

This must be one if the fastest 55k in the country, if not the fastest. Wow.

Built Transmission and Torque Converter fitted today so will be able to give a few more cars a run for their money now. Thanks for the advice :)
