95 c200 window regulator

today my window regulator wire snapped off it was rusted and i wonder if you can replace just the wire or do i have to change the complete regulator ?

There is for a W210 but doesn’t seem to be a kit for a W202.

Might be just as easy to replace the unit with one from a scrap yard.

do you think the kit is the same ?
the scrap yard wanted £60 for a used manual one
have seen several on ebay but often they do not ship to Norway

You would expect them to state that it will fit a W202 if it did but the don’t say this so its risky, email them and ask.
The wires are the same, it’s the wires that you need, the problem is making the wires shorter or longer to fit if the are not the same length as a W202.

If you don’t ever use the back window then you can just wedge it shut with a piece of wood cut to the correct length.

It is the right side that is broken

i managed to get the regulator repaired with some help from my father used bicycle wires cutted in right lengths some washers and some other small parts and a hour of work and now voila! it is working
