'98 C240 autolock

Just tried this on my C200 Sport and it works! It is in the exterior manual too as said.

Seems as though one person wants to turn it off while everyone else wants to turn it on! Didn't know W202's had it!

Just read more of the manual, didnt know you could open the windows when unlocking the car either! Hold the key to door handle and hold unlock for 6 seconds if you didnt know like me!

Also... hold the unlock and lock keys on the remote for 6 seconds and it will turn on or turn off the 'unlock drivers door and fuel filler only' feature instead of unlocking the whole car.

It worked! thanks for the instructions, cant believe I missed that feature!

I wonder if the default is 'off' as I know of a few W202s 'without' it, a W210 and also a facelift W208

Don't know, but mine was 'on' from new. You'll be keeping it 'on' then? It can be mildly irritating, but nothing worse, when you stop to let someone get in, then realise when they try the handle that autolock has done its job. Most of the time now I find myself reaching for the switch just in time.

Yep, keeping it on :) ive always locked the car asap from the dash button anyway...

Had this one my old W202 and forgot how to do it. My W208 is set to (not lock) and will be changing it now! guessing this will work on it.

You'll be finding out about the hold down the lock button to close the windows automatically next!!! :)

yes how do you reset to single lock the windows and sunroof

to set and unset
as a refresher

ok bringing up/Hi-jacking this thread again... (save making another new one)

Basically My windows are automatic downwards but manual upwards... is there an easy fix to make them go upwards automatically too???

Thank you in advanced

yes

bush both front windows switches for the down action of the window but do not let go the button once they are down for 5 seconds same when closing hold for five seconds you will hear a click do the same for the rear job done

Check your user manual. I think you can change it by pressing either the lock or unlock button on the key fob whilst pointing it at the door. Can't remember the exact sequence but the manual will tell you.
