A/C opening windows?

Does the auto a/c in a w204 automatically drop the windows an inch on a hot day to assist the initial cool down? Noticed that mine were down and I don't remember doing it manually/accidently.

TBH, I would have thought it would be a neat trick if it switched to recirculating initially, so that the air it's cooled once is recooled, and the system's not trying to cool "new" hot air all the time.

IIRC, on a previous car (either Honda Accord or Saab), the manual suggested using recirculating mode for initial cooling.

You probably left the remote open button pressed for a couple of seconds, and it started to open all the windows until you released the button.
