a class clutch problem

Hello,

We bought an a170 cdi from notts mb dealership just before last Christmas (dec 2006).

Over the last couple of months I've noticed a low pitched squeal when reversing up hill. It squeals when the clutch engages.

Has anyone experienced this (know what it is) and will it be fixable under the warranty ?

any help would be much appreciated.

Get it checked ASP sounds like a worn thrust bearing but could be the clutch plate itself. Its an engine out job according to this post.http://mbclub.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=39668&highlight=class+clutch

It will be expensive.

I doubt its a warranty issue as it is a wear and tear item.
