My wife has a 2011 A180 Cdi , manual. What the best way to pep it up so that it performs like a 2.0 L diesel and not a 1100 petrol. Cars done about 40,000 miles and has been faultless since it was bought ex-demo back in 2012. It just doesn't seem to have that much go in it.

The A180 cdi has the same 1991 cc engine as the A200 cdi difference = 23bhp/50Nm which would probably mean slightly different ECU map -possibly different injectors???
At 40K miles I would be inclined to leave well alone. What might be worth checking is the Maff sensor to make sure the car is fuelling correctly?

My daughter's A180 CDI is far from being a hot hatch but it isn't a sluggard. I had a B180 CDI and it wasn't too bad either, though a bit more acceleration through the gears would have been more satisfying. Might be worth getting the Maff sensor checked as suggested by Graeme.

I used Celtic tuning for my A class diesel. They absolutely transformed the car. It went from 82BHP to 125BHP. I would imagine that Rebellion who frequent this forum too would do a similar job for you.
