A little story ....

Honestly it was just a "carry on" moment ! I was with 3 other people at the time including my wife and they all found it most amusing (as did the other passer by's - not a lot happens in my village) But if people have a problem with this thread the mods are welcome to remove it.

You're not making it better.

This story shows how NOT to act when you see somebody gets bullied!

bet those boyes woudn't be doing that to guy, bunch of pussys who need to get a life instead of standing around.

I've had to read this story three times to make sure I get the context right and wasn't misreading it. To be honest I am quite shocked by your attitude. A middle aged woman is followed and harassed for several minutes by a group of p*ssed up men (or youths you don't really say) and not only do you do nothing to help, you, your friends and others look on in amusement and seem to think it's funny because you don't like her appearance.

Whether they were being nasty or not is not the point, I'm sure this woman felt intimidated and humiliated. She was even upset enough to go and change her car the same day!

Anyone who thinks that's funny should be ashamed of themselves.

I cannot see anything offensive in this thread, but neither something terribly news worthy.

She shoulda told them to f*ck off

Steve, I expect more of you. Of course it's offensive...bullying always is...but to stand about and laugh is beyond the Pale.

I am not laughing about what happened about to her. Far from it, i feel sorry that it happened

However, she could have told the little swines to stick their comments where the sun dont shine.

I do not think that anyone should be subjected to ridicule, its not nice and indicative of the degeneration of behavioural standards in this country.

I also do not see what the point of this thread is, but the story in itself is not offensive.

well ive asked the mods to delete this

BUT rural kent where i live is a whole different ball game to other areas

If it was anything more offensive than light hearted (albeit pi$$ed) banter my missus would have been the first to kick off at them (even though she hates her guts) so believe me when i say it wasnt that bad. And with changing her car, she must have known and this must have been the final straw

She also burst into tears

...this was bullying

Bullying!!!! Not by a long way.

It was taking the p!ss, which us brits have been doing for years. Hell we even do it to our friends and family.

It was unfortunate that she burst into tears and if I'd have been the one chanting I would have felt guilty, but not bullying. She dressed and made her appearance like that to get noticed, unfortunately it was the wrong reactions she wanted. Lesson learnt she got a nice blue car, I just hope she doesn't try the 3 course meal bubble gum!!!!

My bad, can we just have this closed / deleted please

It'd be a shame if it was deleted. I think it's important that threads like this remain - they show this community's idea of what is and isn't acceptable or funny.

But I can understand why - now that you didn't get the response you wanted - you'd prefer if it was buried.

Don't know if you're married...but if you are how would you have reacted when your wife arrived home having been forced to stop her shopping because of a bunch of yahoos taunting her enough to make her cry? Bullying is determined by the one on the receiving end...not by the idiots doing it and the ones watching it.

I am married, and I would comfort my wife telling her.

What do they know!
The B2stards!
I'll kill em!

Basically doing everything a husband is supposed to do with a orange wife driving an orange car with ST written on the back. LIE!!!!!! and after she'd claimed down, I'd convince her that maybe its the time to get rid of the car and get a different colour. Something that I've wanted to do for years however never had an anchor.

Absolutely, it would be like ganging against someone on this forum and others thinking that was OK.

It's not right, especially as the O/p knows her.

I'm curious as to why the O/p's Wife "hates her guts". Have they had a personal fall out?

There is a heck of a lot more to this story and yes now I would prefer if it just went away. But the outcome, replies and attitudes would have been a whole lot different if say Id just posted a picture of her orangeness next to her Orange car, you would all be having a good laugh at her expense then.

mate i feel for you, it was an innocuous story IMHO. (although i would think that according to renault12ts, cause i call people mate!)

didn't offend me, pictures would have helped.

as for the lass, just telling the lads to **** off would have done the job. and i'm sure she had decided to change the car prior to the incident, dunno about you lot.. but i spend WEEKS looking for a new motor

well personally, i'd have told the missus LONG before the incident that she looked like an oompa loompa and that the car and her skin were an exact match.

does no-one in your house tell you when you look a tw*t before you leave the house? cause i get it all the time (usual comments "the fouth doctor phoned, he'd like his outfit back" "did you get dressed in the dark, you look like a proper t*t)

Agtreed, then again us Northerners are able to take that sort of constructive criticism, we don't think of it as bullying......

With the wife it's constructive criticism (and she's a southerner)

With my dad it used to be a slap... Again something that today is considered bullying, but stopped me going out wearing a bright green shirt with White jeans in my youth!
