A quick hello.

Hi, just a quick introduction as I`ve been lurking for a few months now.

My names Ian, I recently bought a 2009 clk 220 sport, this is my first Mercedes and I must admit I`m very happy with it.

The seat squeaked a lot when I first got it (which was extremely annoying) but the dealer stripped it down and lubed it up which sorted it out.

I`ve not come across any other faults so hopefully I can expect trouble free motoring, at least for a while.

Are there any common faults or anything I should be looking out for?

Hi Ian - welcome aboard & good choice with the CLK. Only thing to watch out for is the permanent grin which can be a distraction to oncoming motorists.....(!)

Only thing to look out for is any clicking under the dash when you start - this is usually one of the 9 or so AC flaps stepper motors/gears going, not always a difficult job but MERCS charge to take the dash out, something indies have worked out isn't required if they can get there fingers in!!
