A tale of sorrow :(

Are the original wheels that came on the car sold?

Still have them, they are the rare amgiii alloys with wider rears than fronts, all with new tyres

They are currently black but can get them resprayed silver if needed

Tbh that was my plan, they sell for around £300 each on eBay without tyres, thought as mine have new tyres and will come with a refurb they have to be worth 1200 (same price as ones in eBay but with tyres thrown in really)

Open to offers as they are through, few marks etc

I had wrote an add ready for ebay but havnt got around to sticking it up yet....

19" genuine mercedes amg iii alloy wheels for sale, can be resprayed back to silver if required
Im looking to sell my highly sort after 19" mercedes amg iii alloy wheels
these are very rare wheels
These wheels cost £2841 new without tyres or center caps... add those and they come in at £3381

The cheapest single wheel on ebay is £300 without a tyre so a full Set must be worth around £1200 without tyres.... mine have brand new tyres fitted less than 2-300 miles ago

These will come with a full refurb either in the same black or if you prefer silver
price is £1100

Front Wheels: 8.5Jx19 ET35 235/35/19 (nexen n8000)

Rear Wheels: 9.5Jx19 ET35 265/30/19 (nexen n8000)

I wouldn’t have thought the komoressor engine would be too much of a ball ache to fit, maybe best to find a donor car but it’s based on the NA engine so most bolt on parts are interchangeable.

Isn’t the CLK based on an e class?

Is it the e55 amg?

I feel your pain with this one.
But keep it and make it even more than it is now.

In fact I can hear the music playing and the crowd shouting Acid, Acid, A A A Acid!:)
Get on the phone to MSL and prepare to take a trip!

Hope you get this beast sorted soon.:thumb:

Yes, I was going to suggest Acid in my last post but wasn't sure what you had done on that yourself (i.e. didn't need help).

Acid is a bit of a magician and can probably supply bits and pieces needed as well.

Is it the e55 amg?
E55 (M113K) engine is pretty much a N/A (M113) engine fitted to C55 (and others) with a supercharger bolted on to it. I would imagine there might be slight change in compression ratio , ECU etc (thicker head gaskets ??) but it should bolt straight in to the OP's car.

Ok spoke to the main man acid, he said if I can get an e55 (m113k) engine, loom, ecu etc then it should be possible

I'm always cautious and won't buy a pallet engine as you never can truly tell the condition etc.... So now on the hunt for a e55 amg with good service history and fairly low miles, seen a few on eBay for around the 10k mark, so all depends what acid would charge for fitting

My car has an agreed value of 19k if I was to take the money, but obv if I'm buying it back I'll receive less.... now to wait the call from the insurance company to see what the buy back price is as to see if I'll even have enough money to do it all

I hope you can get this sorted out and go ahead with buying back the car and dropping a M113k engine in. It will probably be a pain for you but very entertaining (and informative) for us following your progress and it won't cost us a penny. :)

All the best with whatever you decide to do. :thumb:

This would be one amazing build!!!!

Also I wouldn’t let mileage get in the way of things, my CL55 had 260k miles on it when I was done with it and no one believed me until I showed them the clocks! Good service history is the way forward.

260k! Wow! How often did you service it? Or did you just follow the mercedes intervals? And I'm assuming most of those miles were motorway?

I got it on 160k and did 100k myself over 6 years. Standard self servicing at the intervals! Took the heads off at around 230k and changed all the gaskets/pulleys etc for peace of mind.
