Hi Guys,
I had a tranmission error flash up on my 06 A200 CDI TIP (70k miles otherwise in great condition!) a couple of days ago which meant i couldn't go over 40mph. I took it to the local garage who plugged it in and cleared the error - it then drove ok again.
Previous to this it had been squeeking for the first 5 miles of a journey then stopping.
The error message said '0894 - Steel thrust belt in CVT is slippling'
I then took it to another garage who said it was an internal fault in the gearbox module and they would have to spend 12 hours removing it and sending it away...basically write a blank cheque
So....
1. Has anyone else had this issue?
2.If i was to sell it now what would it be worth?
3.Does centrafugal clutch mean anything to anyone as this was suggested by someone else.
I'd appreciate any help!
Thanks!
