Hi

Well the VERY obvious answer is Mercedes but when I call my local main dealer this service filter only comes with the whole header tank:wallbash:

I find that hard to believe

So I want one for a 2015 231 SL63AMG and I believe these are now 3 micron filters

Anyone have a source for them or the actual part number

The part number might be stamped on the header tank ?
I think power steering filters are also part of the header tank on some models .
Try AUTODOC see if they sell one ?

Cheers

Not listed on AUTODOC website but I will ring them tomorrow and I have another looking to see if they can get one

If that's true makes a mockery of recommendations to change fluid/oil at XX,000 miles

Will look to see if a filter numbers on the tank

I’m sure one of the SL63 owners will know soon enough .

Part number A0031846101

It's inside the resesvoir and it's the same part numbers as old but the dealer EPC doesn't show it separately so they try and sell you the whole thing.

Not sure about the ABC tank but for many years and on many MB cars the power steering header tank has the filter built in . The tank is a throw away service item . One bolt , two QR pipes.

Job done. Available for as little as £25
