We wish to remind everyone that bullying will not be tolerated on these forums. Click here to see the original post on our standpoint.

A warning about tag abusing was issued last Friday but it's obvious that the warning was ignored. As a result of this victimisiation we have lost a fellow community member.

As a random example take a look at the tags on this thread: http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/general-discussion/120101-ford-reveals-125hp-engine-just-1000cc.html

We did warn you that we would name and shame so here are the people who left tags on the above thread.

Leaving tags was a nice community privilege. The senior team is now discussing whether this privilege should be taken away.

Head hung low...DM does not wear suspenders. I thought Group Hug was apt though.

Cheers Sweetpea.

I can see why you are unhappy but sometimes they can be very funny.

Perhaps a comedy tags only policy?

I never added any tags but to be honest,I do find many of them well funny but as ^ it might not be the same to others

I originally put that Dieselman wore bras, it was he who corrected me that he only wears them on Fridays.

With regards the tags, pretty much every thread I participate in is tagged with some sort of 'pikey' quip.

I'm thoroughly disgusted with some of you

No , today is a time to put your serious face on.

Like this

Oops , that was my poker face ...

At last..... well said Koolvin.

Inappropriate tags and comments by, often, long standing members on this forum, have become more common and it ruins the experience for others.

Interesting that that thread has been picked. Those tags were all put up after the tags had been cleared twice and the tags themselves had become the joke.

Unfortunately, the best ones have been missed...some really made tears run :D Even more unfortunately, I can't claim the credit for any of them... :(

... we must share a similar sense of humour, I was crying with laughter...the family thought I'd lost it.

I wish I knew what a tag was but on reflection I actually don't.

I only found out last week.:D

They are below each thread, there is an "edit tags" button on the right of the box...press it and you will be able to write a funny (or useful) comment.

Clearly you get the credit for the one you openly denied posting.

If you recall, I said I rarely/virtually never put tags up. That is still correct and I don't recall putting any tags up that are directly insulting or defamatory.

As far as Bikers don't get it...that still stands...motorbike engines are not suitable for cars, but we had a long "discussion" where the bikers insisted they were better due to higher peak power output.
The other single tag I applied said something similar.

Counting the three in this thread I think that brings my total tag tally to about 5 or 6, which I would say is pretty rare usage and hardly serial offender category.

I can see this is a point the finger exercise,...No problem...:dk:

As I said, strange how this thread got picked...

Why write a tag as useful comment when you can just post on the thread?!!

They are useful if they can be used in future searches. For instance look at the tags on this thread, then press one of them.

Do a google search for Doncaster Pikeys. Probably as a result of the tags, an MBClub thread is No 7.
