Just booked my car in for it's first service , quoted £296.00 with a mention of + Ad blue. Just checked on their website and on checking the " to do's " on the service it states " refill adblue tank. Now my interpretation is that as it's part of the service it's included in the price . Any views ??
When my E coupe had it's first service and the service assistant said that the Adblue was extra , I told her that I thought it was included , to which she quickly replied " oh yes that's right".
So are they just trying it on or is Adblue an extra ?

Ours was topped up during service last year and if I recall was shown on the bill along with engine oil etc.. We are on a service plan to spread the cost so don't know the incremental cost off hand.

I'm sure AdBlue would be extra. If it is, ask for a breakdown as they charge from a dealer can be quite high in which case get some from your local motor factors (or supermarket) and top it up yourself

Mine was refilled as part of the service plan.... I wasn’t charged any extra for it.[/QUOTE

Looking at the MB Electonic Service Schedule adblue top up is part of the service schedule but has a note with words to the effect of “after consultation with customer” I deduce from this that it’s an added cost as, from memory, top up is inclusive on a service plan.
I have seen reports that a “top-up” costs £40 extra without a service plan. Most adblue tanks hold about 20L so if you pick up two £11 10L barrels from the supermarket fuel station a big saving even on a nearly empty system. Filling is easy, open the barrel and screw on the supplies filler pipe. Open the adblue filler ( next to fuel filler or in the lower part of the boot) carefully pour the adblue into the tank. Most fillers have a breather tube in the hose to allow air into the barrel as it empties. Care is needed for cars with boot fillers to avoid spillage, kitchen rol or old towel around the filler mops up any splashes or over flow. I recently filled my car which has the adblue filler under the filler flap I over filled and some ran out. The next day the area inside the flap had white crystals, I washed down the area with a watering can all solved.

Mine was refilled when serviced.

I’m also on a service plan which includes any additional items.

My car was topped up at service which I thought was part of the service procedure.

I’m on a service plan now though.
