Advice needed for AMG wheels on a R129

Guys, I'm confused so am hoping for some advice.

I currently have these alloys on my car (Sador 17");

Mercedes alloy wheels | Genuine new 17" Mercedes Sador | fits Mercedes SL Class R129 | Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd

I have the option of buying some (18") genuine AMG III off an R230;

AMG alloy wheels | Genuine new 18" AMG III | fits Mercedes SL Class R230 | Alloy Wheels Direct Ltd

Upon checking the same alloy for the R129, its spec is identical, including part numbers and ET;

Questions;

1. The bolts that come with the AMG IIIs are M14 x 1.5, and the bolts for my exisiting Sador alloys are M12 x 1.5 (Extended). These AMG bolts obviously fit the new alloys but not the hub, so am I right in assuming I need M12 x 1.5 (non extended)?

2. The current Sador tyres are 245/45/17, and the 3rd link above states that that I can go 240/40/18 (front) and 275/35/18 (rear). The AMG IIIs come with 255/40/18 (front) and 285/35/18 (rear). The fronts are on their markers but the rears have plenty of life. I already have some replacement front tyres (240/40/18) so thats OK (I think), but will this combo fit, especially the rears?

Look at the 3rd link you posted to the wheels on the R129 and click essential accessories. It shows you what bolts you need.

Click on tyres and it shows you the correct tyres are front: 245/40R18 93Y rear: 275/35R18 95Y

Your replacing the font tyres anyway so put on the correct size listed above.

It shows 285/35 rear tyres as Brabus fitment on a 9.5J rear rim so should be okay but it doesnt say what ET the wheel is.

On that fitting chart, the alloys are the 9th ones down the list from the R129. They show different offsets.

The offsets and the rears at 285 are the worry regarding any fouling. I'll order the bolt set (thanks) but I did try and contact alloywheels direct but they list no number. I wanted a chat to verify the right bolts.

I've bought these alloys now and will try them on (when I get the bolts) and if they don't fit, I'll pass them on

The fitting chart shows the standard fitments for R129 wheels. These are not R129 wheels so the ET is different but that doesnt mean they wont fit. As they are listed on the R129 page they will fit with the ET listed and the bolts shown.

IMO it is best to run the recommend tyre sizes for them alloys on the R129. If you have rubbing issues with 185 tyres get new 175 tyres no need to sell the alloys on.

AMG type III no longer listed for the R129 (18") on my third link

Alloys fitted and I swapped the 255/40/18 fronts for new 245/40/18 as they were fouling on full lock.

I know the rears should be 275/35/18 and not 285/35/18 but the fit with no fouling. I've been over a few sleeping policemen and no issues yet.

The alloys were a little tatty but a little bit of work the a DA polisher, cutting compund (bit of touching in with aluminium paint) and sealant (final coat of FK1000) and they are fine for now. Really would like a refurb but let me get used them first

Still needs some work but its just little stuff now so I'm hoping it'll be good in the few weeks. Will do a full fluid transfusion (oil, coolant and brakes sometime soon).

18 x 8.5 ET25 245/40R18 Front?

and

18 x 8.5 285/35R18 ET23 Rear?
