Advice required Air con

I have taken my 2012 CLS into the MB dealers to have a health check done up on it.

I have been having troubles with the AC. They guy says that I may be charged if they need to refil the AC. Surely this should be covered under the Warranty?

Any thoughts or similar situations you guys have been faced with?Thanks

I guess its a consumable item....

Ask them the for a cost to carry out the refill, then price up with an independent garage.

Advise the dealer that you can get it done for £xx and I am sure they will match it!

Prices vary widely. Dealer wanted £85 for my Golf, Halfords £49. Both were a "service" which included pressure test, lube, etc. I had it done at a local tyre factor for £30.

It ain't rocket science, doesn't need a dealer technician at £££/hour.

If it's leaking (as mine had been before I swapped a sensor) then the fix should be covered under warranty, as should the re-fill.
