Having looked into what is required for an internal upgrade to my engine if I decide to go the forced induction route I am still undecided. The longevity of the engine if it is supercharged is paramount. The cost for the upgrade is high. At this stage I am mulling over other options for increasing the power whilst leaving the motor NA. I have spoken to Acid and discussed headers and a secondary cat delete which is fine. With regards to air filters, is there an upgrade that which will enhance the performance? And what other tweaks are there (it has the Eurocharged v5) that can up the juice?

Don't waste your money. The only real gain comes from the supercharger. If you're worried about the longevity, run lower boost or blueprint and forge the block.

I have BMC air filter panels.
Better sound.
Maybe 1-2bhp more. Haha.
Less frequency of changes needed.
Last about 50000 miles.

I swapped out to bmc and it made a good difference for me. However, my oem ones were full of flies etc so not a like for like test but I would expect they would provide for minor gains over stock.

Hi Alx. How does the blueprint and 'forge the block' work? I was under the impression I would need to fit forged rods and Pistons? I would prefer the supercharger route tbh.

Forged pistons and steel billet conrods. You can iron sleeve the block as well as port & polish your heads. I can recommend Weistec for the above work.

Trust me you won't regret fitting the blower .
My only regret is not going stage 3 first off. :)
