Aircap E class won't close

Hi to you all,I have a 2011 e350 cdi convertible.My issue is after putting the roof down without any issues when I closed it (while stationery ) the wind deflector tries to shut but just keeps extending.I have checked for any obstruction and if I use the button on the centre console again it tries to close but just keeps extending back out.At present the deflect is extended permanently no matter what I try.Any ideas thank you
