Aircon Part II

I was out in the Ol' girl today and I noticed that my Aircon is up and down by blower speed.. Its been fully recharged but I'm wondering if the blower is on its way out. When its on full tilt it blows severe, then drops back.. then picks up again so its up and down, but not on Auto.. the filter is new as well, is this how yours blows??

Auto, is possibly not the best test for AC as it is dependent on so many variables including fluctuating ambient temps, sensors, wind chill etc. It maybe that you want to try it on Auto with the windows up, doors shut etc (car sealed). I would then expect some fluctuation in revs from the engine and the blower motors as it adjusts load etc to suit the brains inputs.

My C55 can sound like an argument in the Clangers House with various bits switching on & off. It really is difficult to work out what it thinks it is doing? BUt it (just to cheer me up) has very slow leak. We are taking a three month leak from re-gas to drained again. No amount sniff testers, dyes, new conpressor, condensor, some pipes and a pressure switch have been able to find the leak, which will be up behind the lump somewhere in bank balance country.
