Aircon upgrade W208

Morning all, I put this in the electrical forum which I think might have been the wrong one but does anybody know if normal aircon can be upgraded to Auto climate control on a CLK W208 and if so what sort of job and what would be needed. Be gratefull for any help. Cheers, Lockking

Im not 100% but i think for this mod the dash will need to come out to replace a few bits. These are behind the dash. And various other bits need changing if i remember correctly. Not a simple job.

Not 100% but I believe the entire heater box would have to be replaced, involving the removal of the dash, steering wheel, steering column, and installing the air/electric actuator system, you might be able to fit these actuators onto your current heater box but the all the above would still need to be removed to gain access to your existing heater box, the dash would have to be modified to accomadate the electronic display, this itself is intergrated into the vehicle diagnostic system.
I would not attempt this MOD unles I had a doner car alongside, then I would think twice purely because of the amount of work/time involved.
