Hi
Another sunny day, so decided to take my 1990 300SL (W129) for a run. I decided to give her a quick wash over before setting out. I disconnected the CTEK battery conditioner (always left on), got into car (I alway leave doors unlocked) and started the car - the alarm went off (which I thought was strange because the doors were unlocked) - stopped car, got out of car, turned off alarm using remote plip (which locked door)
Used plip to unlock door, alarm went off as soon as I opened door - shut door and switched off alarm using plip. Tried again, this time got car started before alarm went off.
I've tried arming/disarming alarm on driver door, passenger door, and
boot but the damn thing still keeps going off.
I'd be very grateful if someone could suggest what is causing the problem
and also let me know if there is a reset procedure I could use.
