Hi last night my car was parked outside my house and all through the night the indicators kept coming on and flashing rapidly for around 5 mins also the interior light came on , but luckily no alarm sound, I kept pushing the lock function on the key fob from my bedroom window to stop it and it did but it still kept doing the same thing randomly through the night.
obviously if it keeps doin g this I will end up with a flat battery , is there a fuse I can pull to stop it , im assuming its all connected with the alarm system , the car is a e320 year 2000 saloon even when I pushed the unlock on the fob it still kept doing it but no alarm siren just indicators and interior light on

Hi you need a new alarm siren box,I had same problem with my SL350,hazards flashing etc etc, fitted new alarm siren all ok now.

You could try pulling any fuse that is associated with the alarm (Anti-theft alarm or ATA) but this is an unreliable way of doing it because the alarm siren is defective and it is this defect that is triggering the alarm.. without any noise from the siren.
Also removing a fuse might well stop the central locking from working or whatever might be sharing the alarm fuse.

Only sure way is to unplug the siren while the car is unlocked… see PM.

Your car will lock and drive as usual without the siren but you will have no insurance cover with a non-working alarm, the siren can be replaced for about £80 from an MB dealer.

thank you dec and for the video I will check it out

Had the same problem with my e270 . Alarm unit is faulty and needs removed. Mine was under the drivers side wheel arch. Internal battery leaks and messes up the chip inside the box. Just took mine out and left it.
