I need to remove the inside door panel because someone blemished the door again. The last time I did it according to the Haynes manual I couldn't align it back and can see the upper part higher by a few millimetres through the window. It got something to do with the clips holding the door panel. Any one an success doing it? I am referring to the front passenger door of W202.

All door card are held in clips /slot for the upper part.

When re fitting them always start with the door card higher than the door and apply pressure to the card to the door as you slide the card down, and it will clip into the fixings at the top. Make sure it is in the clip at both ends.

I tried what you said, but it stuck somewhere. There are clips all round the board and to really get it back home all the clips have to be applied at the same time.

You haven't overtightened the inside handle, or the central locking catch have you?

Some cars have a clip mid way up and equal pressure has to be applied where these clips hooks are.If you do have these then make sure that you lift the panel high enough to start with to get over the hook part. I use my knee's to keep the ressure on the mid way point and one hand at each end of the panel. do make sure the any spire clips at the top are sitting flat.
