During the recent downtime I came across this site for the 190 owner. link Quite interesting to see a 6.0 V8 AMG or even a convertable.Just click on engine conversions or body conversions on the left of the page.

I thought that too. I always thought the Hammer was exclusively a W124 chassis.

Correctemento - it's my site, although it hasn't been updated in years.......

A reader of my page actually found this car for sale quite a drive from his home and drove all the way to it to snap these pics - after I posted them on the net I've seen them quite a few places with no reference to the original source. Kinda makes me feel bad for that generous soul who sent them to me!

Anyway; The name 'Hammer' is for the 124s indeed, these 190s never had a nick like that as far as I know - probably due to their rarity (I've heard rumours saying three of these were ever made)..
