AMG alloy help

AMG made identical ones to these, so its quite possible these are genuine.

Before throwing them away or doing anything rash, take one wheel off and have a look.

They should be 7.5x17et42 and also have BBS stamped on them, and if there are nuts on the back of them wheel, they are almost certainly genuine 2 piece AMG split rims.

If the above is not present, Im afraid everyone was right. But I wouldnt lose hope just yet.

Same style wheels on what appears to be a 1994 CE in a Japanese AMG publication.

The OP's "AMC" wheels clearly non-gen. The image I posted below are of genuine AMG 17x7.5" ET42 A1244010402/B66020065

His wheel doesn't have the 5 alignment holes, that's what set off the alarm bells as to non-genuine for me. Also as posted, AMG (or AMC) is wrong way up.
And the cut of the hole is rounded, where as genuine wheels of this period had a square cut around the hole.

Also, the OP's wheels are 2 or 3 piece but the connecting bolt heads don't look as if they are doing anything.

They look as if they are actually one piece wheels with fake bolt heads or perhaps they have been powder coated over the outer whole surface.

sadly your right the AMG logo is back to front and it does say AMC on them. looking at a set of 17s on ebay. it has been lowered quite alot and i dont think 16s will go because of the height. if i can get some rims the same width i can keep the tyres because there is loads of tread left.

Post a photo of your car.

Hey Matt, did you back up to that speed ramp? :D After the ride up Westfield Lane t'other day I would consider raising the suspension again!

That's a shame you got new wheels, those old wheels looked nice....

they do look good on that amg the black sets them off, i might keep them in the lock up and if i come across another wheel decide to have them cleaned and painted up. im looking at a set of merc alloys on ebay so will update on the situation if i win them

i am looking at aset of alloys with the same stud ofset 112 as the merc
but they were on an Audi with out me guessing does any one know if the hub diameter is the same, it should also apply to vw, skoda?
