AMG Bluewater Meet

i might pop along chaps if thats cool, would love some advice on running a c63 in

More than welcome fella... :thumb:

Talking of the Rashman, Si, has anyone heard from him lately.... I'll text him, would be good to see the old boy and see if hes keeping that CLK nice n clean... thats probably why we dont see him much now as the P&J only gets cleaned twice a day 7 days a week LOL.

Benjy
just to say, am away over Christmas, but back on 29th, if i am up for it i will pop up that evening, but will see what state I am in and the dreaded weather.

In the meantime all the best to everyone for Christmas and the new year.

and the dreaded weather.

Unless you're intending on wearing a bikini, you've not got much to worry about.

UK Outlook for Tuesday 27 Dec 2011 to Thursday 5 Jan 2012:

Generally unsettled across northern and western parts to start with showers or longer spells of rain, occasionally heavy. Elsewhere, rather cloudy but mostly dry initially although it may turn more unsettled for a time across central parts during the first few days of the period. A drier and more settled spell is likely towards the end of December for most parts although it will only be short-lived in the north and west with unsettled conditions soon returning by the end of the month. This pattern will lead to generally mild and occasionally windy conditions although a more settled spell later next week may bring lower temperatures and an increased risk of overnight frosts for a time. Remaining generally unsettled into January with temperatures around normal.

I'll come around to say hi.

Wheel Noise !

Gents

apologies im unlikely to turn up on the 29th - Im feeling unwell - nothing festive unfortunately but not life threatening either, hope to see you soon

**On a more important note
my cars just started making a very noticeable droning noise with some vibration at above 55mph
checked tyre pressures..
only had winter tyres put on and balanced a month ago
have my wheel bearings gone ?
just had gearbox software update so tried cruising in neutral ( no difference )
might go back to tyre shop for a re balance or straight to MB for repair?

any thoughts:confused:

Maybe your Winter tyres have overheated... ;)

maybe they have ?

they are a part worn set from last year,so i did consider that they could be the cause, although there is still plenty of tread, maybe they are shot ?:dk:

Sorry to hear you're not feeling too good, was looking forward to the buffet :-).

Figured out the droning noise? Why the software update for thr 7G, any benefit?

Hope you are better soon and see you in 2012!

I'm not certain about tomorrow, will update tomorrow to advise if I can make it. Not a peep from Rashman I see!

just been to the tyre shop....

one seriously blistered front tyre (ready for bursting!)

a quick change back to my summer tyres and the problems gone:D

re the g/box update > slight juddering on the down change 3-2 and 2-1 noted resulted in MB offering a software update - i think a few have had this

re the tyre I may take this up with MY/Vredestein as this tyre has only had approx 6000 miles use and has 5-6 mm left , to me the sidewall has failed and i think they should consider compensation at £180 a corner they are not cheap ..lets see:cool:

Good news you found that tyre prob, I think you got a case with the manufacturer. I had a box and ecu update about a year ago for hard down shift from 2 to 1 if rem and this was only happening in low temps, wonder if you have had the same now.

Keep well and see you soon.
