No idea but on a similar vain as "AMG tax" I had to get a new number plate surrond as mine broke. The guy in parts even said there must be some mistake it says £126!

I did not buy it!

Why not get some of eBAY?

Ive got one fitted from the previous owner, wondered how much they are worth ;)

Hi,
I priced up one from MB for my AMG recently, £56 IIRC.
I bought one from E-bay together with a new C55 badge for £32.
The boot star was £24, and I got one again from E-bay for a tenner.

mmm, might remove mine and flog it :D

Wanna buy it? ;)

I wanted a new grille as my existing one had a couple of stone chips in it.

The dealers wanted nearly £250 for it

I did buy it  lol

Looks great though and looks nice and fresh :)

I still have my original one if anyone is interested.

To anyone else it would appear in cracking condition. Which it is. Just has a couple of stone chips in it that bugged me

:D

Surely you have to actually drive it to be stone chips :-)

I bet the stone chips came from Rashman rushing in the garage to see if it is OK having left it all alone for the day while at work.

Hahaha... Paul, you joker! :D

Drive it?... hmm.. what's all that then? :D

So anyway, yes, I picked up a few chips. Bugged the hell out of me so I got a new grille.

The only thing that is left that niggles me, is the odd chip on the headlight lenses.

People have mentioned sanding/ polishing down the lenses and then re-lacquering them or re-laminating them.

I'm not happy that a 100% can be achieved by this, so I may end up buying some new headlights at some point.

Not yet though... they don't bug me that much yet to spend nearly £900 on them :doh:

Naaaa..... I have carpet layed down to prevent this.

:D

What you need is a decontamination chamber on the garage door.

lol

At the moment, I have a porch entrance which serves as a lobby and preparation area, prior to entering the main living quarters of the 63. That'll have to do for now.

lol!

Speaking of driving it, I may well be getting the car out tomorrow to take advantage of the mild, dry weather :)

The lenses would only get stone chips again!

What time and where are you thinking of going?
