Looking for a black bonnet emblem for the C320 CDI sport (w204), is there any kind of opposition to putting an AMG badge on a non-AMG car even if it has the AMG sport package. Just want a black bonnet badge

It's your car and you do with it as you see fit.

Saying that though, I'm quite staunch in the thinking that it should be badged up as an AMG only if it has an AMG engine under the bonnet.

Also bear in mind that there are no "genuine" AMG bonnet emblems, all are fakes.

And that's why I went for an OEM MB one rather than getting an AMG one off ebay... they are all fake.

OP, it's your car man, do whatever, you paid for it at the end of the day, lol.:)

Agree do with YOUR car what you want.

I always grin when I see AMG on the back of a "non" AMG car and think it sad. But that's my opinion so ignore it.

put one of these on

I remember when I was a member of a Jaguar forum with my Jaguar S Type R. I was nearly banned for criticizing a member who stuck an R Type badge on the back of his standard S Type. Could not understand why he did it, what sort of message was he giving, "I love the S Type R but can't afford one so I will kid everybody I own one". I just felt it was utter bu115hit, but after all it was his car and he was free to do whatever he wanted too until he came to a meeting and got the p155 taken out of him. I felt very sorry for him, but the topic got very heated. The reverse situation which some people think justas bad is when people debadge, never got my head around that one.
AS THEY SAY EACH TO THEIR OWN.

On the subject of de-badging,in germany most mb's are de-badged & afaik are supplied de-badged unless asked otherwise.

I completely agree with your view on 'up-badging' but I don't see your problem with de-badging; I do it to every car I buy because it gives a cleaner rear end and I also like people to think they've got a chance at the traffic lights....

Ebay is the place to look m8 lots on there:thumb:

When someone said on your other thread you could gain 200bhp by fitting an AMG badge they were only joking Alex.....;)

would love this emblem on my seats :)
