AMG Emblem

It does amuse me how many MB drivers are concerned about fuel consumption.

Put an AMG badge on a diesel, though, and you can have the best of both worlds can't you?*

*Performance and noise may be hugely affected. Danger of smoke and rattling sounds. AMG's in your windscreen may be further away than expected.

A good litmus test is access to the AMG Private Lounge, if the VIN doesn't meet the criteria, you don't get in.

I have access to the AMG lounge using my VIN, but I have an apparently 'not an AMG' C43. Not that I care what people think nor did I put my own AMG badge on the boot or engine cover.

If only that access was worth having, apart from a few freebies, which are few and far between in recent years (beyond calendars).

But I do have a AMG baseball cap and a Beanie hat for winter👍🏻
Don't forget a black AMG anorak. The slick salesmen at my local Merc. stealership used to pose around in them & despite my best efforts was unable to blag one despite my owning a non-AMG boggo basic rusty old A class.

This has gone on for too long now.
Hands up all those who want this to close.
No way. I'm adding more AMG badges before attending a Mercedes meet just to witness the irritation caused.

It won't be irritation you cause. It will be finger pointing and laughing.;)
AMG owners are pretty astute and know what is and isn't the real thing.

But if it pleases you, go ahead.

Edit. Still got my AMG Private Lounge cap from my E55 days.
Must make sure I'm wearing that getting out of my non AMG S204.

Hi , Can be nothing better than V8 under the hood. The 8 cylinder cars AMG generally look good assuming you can read the badges on them as they race buy.

The newer A class AMG to me look like a boy racer to me ( very sorry ) cars.

It........

I have one still in it’s wrapper. I’ve never owned an AMG and would never wear it (or any other MB gear for that matter - except to a MB meet).

You don’t get it. It is not irritation, it is pity & amusement!

“Aaah look, how sad, he is pretending his car is an AMG”. ;)

The thread I posted is about amg badges, will have to scroll down to a few posts

Are thieves banned from owning screwdrivers then?? :)

I hate screw heads 0f any description on number plates, 3m double sided pads every time. They look so much better, and note, no AMG Micky Mouse badges :)

No makers name/postcode or BS mark.......so technically not legal on any car newer than 2001/51 plate.....but you know that!!! And unless you get pulled but a VOAS inspector the average traffic cop won't know or care!!! The VOSA boys are too busy pulling us caravan towers in for know good reason to stop you anyway!!
