AMG front bumper W203

Its amazing how many of these show up on eBay,

This one however is still in its box + and has all fittings & grills!

After reading of people's problems with installing AMG bodykits outside the factory/after market is more hassel then it is worth and certainly enough to put me off.

:o Hmmmm, not talking about me are we :)

Seriously it's a bit of a pain, and mine isn't finished still. My advice to anyone is do your research first. As Jay73 has told us one AMG bumper is not the same as another AMG bumper!

It's bizzare how many variations exist of the bumper and fittings for the W203... Perhaps they should include a health warning!

I have learnt a lot from your experience...

Cheers mate...

I've asked the seller for the part no on this as it 'could' solve my problem if it's a complete kit as he seems to state and IF it's the right set of part no's! Lots of IF's...

Hey Flash I've got some news for you, check your PM...

Ive got a complete AMG front bumper with grills, its does not have the xenon cutouts (that I need), ill be putting it up forsale if I win this one.

Looks like we both want it! Have you got a W203 now too?

Its for a friend, I bought this on ebay recently for him,

He needs the headlamp wash.

I thought your kit was complete?

It almost is  ...

What year is his W203? You need to be careful which bumper you buy as there are actually four types (with & without headlamp wash).

Does the kit you bought your mate have the bumper backing? That's the problem I'm having with mine, so figured a complete kit may be an easier solution.

Depending on part no's & model years I could do you a deal on my front bumper (which does have headlamp wash) - if your mates car is Brilliant Silver it's an even better deal :)

The car is a 2001,
I checked the part numbers and for some reason the front bumper has 2 part numbers on it,
they are:
A2038851825
A2038851925
It does not have headlamp wash.
The bumper Plastic Part is 2038850165

The grills and fogs match the bumper.

What part number is yours?

My car has headlamp wash and the part no of my bumper is A203 885 1825. However the bumper I have also has both numbers stamped on it.

I don't know why they do that as A203 885 1925 is the non headlamp wash one!

Thanks for the other info, so the frame you have is A203 885 0165, apparently that is what was fitted to my car however my bodyshop couldn't get it to fit. I now know from a WIS document that the frame needs to be cut / modified althought it's not completly clear (to me anyway) on what / where to cut. Anyway as they couldn't get it to fit they then got A203 885 0965 which also didn't work.

I currently have the frame A203 885 0765 fitted although the grilles don't clear the lights now!

I originally had the wrong bumper grilles (think I had the post 2004 ones) but now the grilles are correct for the bumper but it now has come full circle and looks like I need the frame I orignally had

What a nightmare! That's why I said that these bumpers should carry a health warning...

Luckily my wife is 'quite' understanding :)

5hrs to go and now there's one bid, bidders history looks interesting, especially the bits I've marked in bold. Does this look like the seller is using another account to ramp the price?

Sounds dodgy to me!

I was the second highest bidder on it, I think ill have to convince my mate to live without headlight wash. It only ever makes your bonnet dirty anyway.

What makes you say that, the description says that it's complete.
Think he means in regard to the alleged 'schill bidding'

HTH :)

Top bidder appears to be from Portugal, so you might yet get a second chance offer?
