Hi All

Looking for either 17" or 18" AMG Monoblock Alloy Wheels anyone have any or know where i can get a cheap set?

Also they are going onto a CE-230 1990, does any anyone know what offset I need to be looking for

Thanks :thumb:

Don`t go 18s,17s is the way to go
The ones fitted to w124s had et42 but not many about, you can get the ones from w202 et35
How about aeroI though

Yes I thought the 17's would be better as it would be a smooth ride

I think 17's look better too - i've attached a piccie of the ol' 300ce with the 17's on - these ones are copies:

Hi, thanks for the input, i think for a extra £25 its worth going original

I would also definitely only go with originals, specially on an MB :thumb:

Is that your wheels before and after? also if you don't mind me asking what sort of money did you pay to get them refurbished?

neilrr - Would these fit onto my 1990 CE-230 or would I need to get spacers?

I don't know for sure but I'd say if they fit on a W124 300CE they'll probably fit on a W124 230CE.

Some of the guys on here are fluent in Wheel & ET & will probably be able to give us a definitive answer.

Yep, and all 4 wheels were pretty much the same (the attached was the worst one). I was lucky enough to get them all done as a cash job for £120.00 - i think most places charge between £50-£60 a wheel.

The fella who done them said the level of corrosion was quite bad as it had eaten into the wheel and he went through a few pads grinding it out. There's a few coats of lacquer/paint on there too so hopefully they will last a while. He also said that all you need to do is give them a wipe once a week in order to keep them in good nick.

I'm like an old woman when parking it now!

They`ll fit fine :thumb:

[EDIT by Admin]

I'm not sure that sabotaging someone else's sale is in any way helpful.

Spike, there's market value for anything being sold. Why buy something, which is overpriced?

Not everyone knows what's the "right price" for a product/service, so why not help those, who can buy the same thing or even better paying less?

If someone shows me a W124 bumper for £5, then I will drop my price, knowing it's overpriced...Of course, bearing in mind the condition/distance, etc.

In light of your previous form, Blackman, I'm rather surprised to see you moaning & getting indignant about someone commenting on your high wheel prices. Surely what's good for the goose is good for the gander?
