Just got myself a 6 month old (facelift) C220 CDI Sport Estate, Auto, in Albandine Grey, so decided to 'join up'.

Bog standard spec and I've added a Becker Map Pilot for £200 (from ebay.de German supplier)

So far, I think I made a good choice!


Came from a 2007 Nissan X-Trail, which spent far too long in the garage. In my 4 1/2 years and 120k miles, it has 2 new fuel pumps, an intercooler, a brand new engine, complete rear braking system 'and much more'.

I travelled 50 miles to look at the colour on a car as I couldn't get enough of an idea from the configurator or the small painted panel that my dealer had.

I'm very pleased with the colour - I have the benefit of being half a mile from the local Mercedes dealership, so had a look at the colour on another C-Class before I bought this elsewhere

Colleagues at work tell me it is a great colour and one passer-by has already tripped over the kerb whilst looking at my car!

Seems to get noticed by other MB owners as well. Black is the majority colour round here, with silvers followed by white. I haven't seen this colour on another one 'on the road' at all yet.

Hi, Great looking car. Have just got a C220 Sport in Albandine Grey with a Panoramic Roof! However with just 400 miles on it it's been shunted and sent to the bodyshop! Lots of compliments about the colour too!

C220 went to a new home in October 2013

I went to a new home in October 2013 and now live near Vancouver

They don't 'do' C Class estates in Canada and so I decided to get something a bit different....you may want to sit down....


A HYUNDAI!

Yes, A Hyundai (or Hundeye as they say over here).

Not the typical flavour you get in the UK however.

This is a 3.8 V6 Genesis 4 door saloon, approx 335 BHP, which does 0-60 in under 6 seconds and is bloody quick all the way to 150mph and more! There is a 5.0 V8 available and that is cor blimey fast.

Quality, fit and finish put the Germans to shame. As it is a runout model of the current range, on the road new was the equivalent to a mere 21000 pounds!
