hi
have an intermittent issue with my 06 c320 cdi...

fitted with the 7g box which is effortless and smooth as....

but ive noticed at light throttle, its kind of a quick 'miss' and easing on or off the throttle cures it....
in sports mode last sunday, i floored it and it was a couple of jerks more agressively...starngely at the same revs???

when i did it a second time, it seemed to revert back to comfort mode and wouldnt rev or kick down for more oomph..

i pulled over and turned it off and restarted it and in sports mode, it absolutely flew with no hint of an issue again ...

its had a new MAF, EGR, and lambda sensor and apart from this issue, it drives faultless.......any ideas?

i will take it back as only owned a few weeks but just wondered if anyone has had the same?

cheers in advance :)

It went into limp mode, should of left a code, get the codes read on star at a mb specialist. No point guessing, but I would suspect MAF related.

cheers for the reply, hmmm...had a new MAF 3 weeks ago.......

seemed strange, stopping and restarting it cured it...til the next time...lol

going back to where i bought it from, it can be there problem ;)

Perhaps sticking vanes in the turbo, or the Electronic actuator playing up. Sounds like it went into limp mode. As above it will need proper Star code read.

Welcome to the Forum btw ;)

Have you checked for air leaks down stream of the turbo( intercooler etc) . Mass Air might be ok but engine isn't receiving what it's expecting.

Sounds just like a faulty turbo actuator.

cheers for the reply..
i was reading through here last night til my eyes bled...lol
same thing i came up with..

spoke to the garage today, going in Tuesday for a gearbox software update so the mechanic says....

told him, its the second time its come back in the 3 weeks ive owned it..fix it or il turn green and throw my toys ;)

it came with a standard 3 month warranty so need this issue fixed...
ive decided if they dont get it right, there is a mercedes indie specialist not to far from me and il pay for them to use STAR on it...then i can go back to the original garage and shout louder :)

if it does turn out to be the actuator, naturally i need the garage to sort as these things are a tad expensive!!

i just love the power delivery of mine....when it works..lol

just one thing....why did turning it off and restarting 'cure' the fault as it pulled like thing posessed after in 'sports' ??????

If the Turbo needs doing its best to do the Intake Manifold Motor at same time.
