Android Auto A180d amg line 5dr 2017 - Not Working

I have done some research and my car came off the factory line with Android Auto but when plugging my android device into the correct port under the arm rest nothing is happening on the infotainment screen.

Any advice on why this is not working?

Hi, you need to ensure phone's bluetooth connection to Mercededs bluetooth is allowed and connected, normally that happens first then auto setup starts up when phone lead connected. There are instructions in the manual and online. Good luck

Run the car's VIN in a free online VIN decoder and look for the following options, if not done so already:

14U - Smartphone Integration Package
16U - Smartphone Integration Carplay
17U - Smartphone Integration Android Auto

I have my android phone connected to the cars Bluetooth connection but when opening Android auto on my device and plugging into the car no prompt appears on phone or car.

You could try a different cable. This was the solution to the problem I had.

Have you got the Android auto app running on your phone?
Also you need to turn Android auto on in the telephone menu.

Not as simple as an iphone or as good as youll see when the screen comes up with half of it taken with the Android logo!
