C220 W204 Facelift
Hi,

Ive seen various companies offering retrofitted/replacement display units that allow Android Auto to be used.

However I cant seem to find o e that is compatible with the W204 Facelift. The car was built 2012.

Has anyone encountered a way to get this for my car?

Thanks

There is no native support for Android Auto or Apple CarPlay for the W204.

Do you have COMAND NTG4.5 or Audio20?

Either way the Android Auto convertions typically involve connecting a small box (Raspberry-Pi running Android) to the Aux socket on the Audio system.

This box will allow your Android phone to mirror it's screen to the car display via WiFi or Bluetooth.

Some suppliers also offer touchscreen, either as replacement for the original car display, or as a touch film stuck on top of the original screen.

Another option is to replace the entire audio unit with a Chinese Android-based device. The issue though is that I have yet to see one that has the screen and instrument cluster bezel for RHD W204, they all seem to be for LHD cars.

Apple CarPlay and Android auto are not supported on the W204 at all nor the W205 until the new facelifted W205 with NTg 5.5.

There are a few companies that offer a screen overlay system that intercepts the cars display and gives basically a separate system that shares the screen. the issue with these is the cheap look and feel, graphics arnt great and the audio needs to be piped into the cars system via AUX.
