I got my car with a 3 month non MB dealer warranty and have been looking into extending it for longer. I have searched this site and found links to some companies but then I remembered that the last time I renewed my AA cover they offered be a parts and labour package but the car at the time was too high milage and too old.

What do folks think of this deal (£59 for standard cover or £99 for extra cover) but it only cover major items - relating to a breakdown - ie "mechanical or electrical repairs for all parts of the engine, engine cooling system, fuel system, electrical system, clutch, gearbox, differential and driveline, steering, suspension, braking system, housing and casings (provided they are damaged by the failure of another insured part);
"

AA parts and Labour

Standard cover

Plus cover

Thanks

Perhaps I am reading this wrong, but isn't this CRASH damage ?
And what if the the other party is NOT insured ?

Also, is the cost of the warranty more than the cost of what you fear might break?
Wifey's previous car had a warranty through Warranty Holdings (recently gone bust)
Two weeks after buying the car it would not turn over/start. It turned out that the wiring loom was damaged where it went through the engine/passenger bulk head. The warranty did not cover the wiring loom. £75 to fix.
