Hi
Decided to waxoyl the car for the winter prior to salt etc. Car got 4 doors boot, bonnet, 2 front wings June 04.
Steam washed underneath on Monday and put her up on the ramp to dry and removed the wheel arch liners. Now i would advise anyone who has an e class that they intend to keep for a while to remove these wheel arch liners and wax the areas shown.
The 2nd photo shows the drivers side rear wheel arch with the liner removed and some of the loose paint removed prior to waxoyling.
The 3rd photo shows the drivers side front wheel arch behind the headlight.
The 1st photo shows the passenger side wheel rear arch where a rubber gromet was missing.
One point to note, when i spoke to the bodyshop last year they assured me that they would wax everywhere when they had the panels and liners removed.
Food for thought
