Dont know too much about the prices but my father has the xj8 of the same year. I know xj's are not as apealing as the xk however 10k sounds a lot

I think its the mileage that is dictating the price.
For a sub 21k miler its remarkable value if you ignore its age.

I've always like the look of the XK, especially in XKR form.

Think the advert in the OP is maybe a little optimistic though...

I think it was an XKR with an aftermarket exhaust that joined the motorway at full chat the other day whilst I had the roof down. It sounded thunderous and reminded me of an SLR if anything. Nice guy too. Gave each other a wave!

The XKRs had a Mercedes gearbox to deal with the extra torque of the blown engine- evidently the standard jag box wasn't quite up to it!
