No punch up, but the desired result was achieved.
The old board were voted out and most of them left immediately. There is a new interim board in place, and several positive changes have been made already. It's going to take time for them to decipher where things have been left with finances and admin etc, but the atmosphere is a lot more positive already.
Being the officially recognised Mercedes-Benz Club, I see no issue with supporting it

At the meeting or the Saturday night when @pmcgsmurf was out on the town
Had no idea the Community Shield was on, made for a very busy town.
Food was good, beer too, hotel for a Hilton was a bit of a dump to be honest.

That's got to be good news for those interested in the Official club. Perhaps former members will re join but I lost interest finally last year. Club magazine largely devoted to social events with some unintentionally hilarious "letters to the editor". Forum full of trolling posts from what appeared to be schoolkids and so on. At the back of it all the board too far up themselves (did they really think they would be re elected?). Shame really because there are some really great and knowledgeable members and I hope it turns round for people who enjoy the club.No punch up, but the desired result was achieved.
