Hiya All

Was just wondering if anyone had put a HID Kit on there W204 and where would you recommend.

I Know PPL are going to say there illegal as they don't have the washer jets and Levellers but I am still after a kit as the a standard Halagon Units are Rubbish

Please Help

Since they are, as you say, illegal, we don't tend to go beyond that point.

The illegality is a much argued point, but it'll likely fail the new 2012 MOT rules.

Try HIDS4U.co.uk
My son put some on his golf a few years back -after a lot of research. They claim that they are designed for non-projector type lights and that the beam pattern is identical to original fit. Whether that is true I don't know, but when I asked recently if there would be an MOT problem they said not and their web-site implies that they are ok. Time will tell (MOT's due at the end of the year) but when he drives towards me at night I get no dazzle. That said, I don't see how they can pass an MOT since the guidance does not distinguish between design of Xenon - as I recall, if it has xenons then it must auto-adjust and have washers.

For me, xenons are a one-way street - once you have them you don't go back. The ILS on new Mercs is fantastic.

Thanks I will try them.

I know they are a mot Failure but my mate at Kwik-fit usually MOTs my cars and as he says "You could of put them in after the MOT Wink Wink" LOL.

I have had them fitted to all my cars in the past and in my opinion the dazzle doesn't seem to be as bad if fitted behind a Projector Lens and as long as they are the 4300k they dont look Chavvy/Boy-racer at all.

My only issue is I hear they can set off Bulb warning messages if the kit is not a Canbus kit
